We're all about finances here at #ITPN, and since tax time will be coming soon, you're going to want to see one of the most heavily regarded economies and see how well it's actually doing in Grand Rapids, MI: the real estate market, particularly for the middle class.

Housing affordability is key, and GR has one of the best in the nation. Just how healthy is it? Stats were in saying that a middle class family in this western Michigan city could easily buy a home for approximately 22% of the current income.

Crazy Presidential #Pardons: #Tax  Fraud and Evasion

We at #ITPN don't deny that President Clinton back in the day was a bit of a sneaky. He was like a game show host. But did you know that this was a man who pardoned one Marc Rich, a man indicted back in 1983 for 51 counts — count 'em, 51 COUNTS — of tax fraud and evasion?

We'll break it down a bit more: the man apparently evaded on $48MM in taxes, living in Switzerland as a fugitive. Clinton, of course, executed the pardon, and Rich enjoyed his riches freely.

Not many know that Rich's ex-wife made some pretty big contributions and donations to the Clinton Presidential Library. Perhaps it was just a coincidence.

Generally speaking, we at #ITPN  would agree. However, that headache won't be so bad given that not ALL deductions need to be itemized. So we can save you the trouble of gathering all those bits and pieces.

What kind of deductions don't need to be itemized? The student loan interest deduction is one, the IRA deduction is another. And then there's the moving expenses deduction. Your form 1040 actually has all of those non-itemized deductions at the very bottom.
